Terms of service

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Welcome to brick'em.

brick'em turns a photo of your LEGO into identified, priced, ready-to-list inventory. These terms cover how you and brick'em work together. We kept them plain so you know exactly what you are agreeing to when you scan, price, and list. Section 26 contains an arbitration agreement and class action waiver that affect how disputes are resolved. Please read it.

01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Michigan Bricks LLC and its affiliate brick'em LLC (together, "brick'em," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, installing our app or extension, making a purchase, or otherwise using the website (brickem.io), the web app (dashboard.brickem.io), the mobile app, the Chrome extension, Norman, our community, our MCP server, or any related service (together, the "Service" or the "Licensed Application"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect, and we will update the date at the top of this page. Non-material changes take effect when posted. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription before the effective date.

If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business, and "you" includes the business.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU, EEA, or UK) to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Paid plans and marketplace connections require you to be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.

You represent that: (a) you meet these age requirements; (b) you are not barred from using the Service under United States or other applicable law; (c) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; and (d) the information you give us is accurate.

03The Service

brick'em helps LEGO sellers and collectors:

  • Identify minifigures, parts, and sets from photos using automated image recognition.
  • Look up estimated market prices from our catalog database.
  • Build and manage inventory, track collection value, and see which figures they can build from parts.
  • Connect eBay, BrickLink, and Shopify stores to list items and mirror listings, and export files for other platforms.
  • Talk to Norman, an AI assistant that can answer questions about and make changes to their inventory.
  • Share results publicly, join a community forum and Discord server, and refer friends.

We are constantly improving the Service and may add, change, or remove features, limits, and integrations at any time. Features labeled beta, preview, early access, or "coming soon" may be incomplete, may change without notice, and are provided without any obligation on our part.

04Accounts and sign-in

  • You can sign up with an email and password or through Google, Apple, or Discord. Your use of those providers is subject to their terms.
  • You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • One account per person. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, and you may not create multiple accounts to get around trial limits, free scan limits, or referral rules.
  • Signing in on one surface (for example the website) may sign you in on our other surfaces (the dashboard, the extension). Sign out on shared devices.
  • We may reclaim usernames, referral codes, or seller page handles that are inactive, misleading, or infringe someone's rights.

05Plans, trials, and billing

5.1 Plans and pricing

brick'em offers a limited free experience and paid plans (currently brick'em Pro, billed monthly or yearly, and brick'em Lite, a reduced plan offered in some situations). Current prices, features, and limits are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Taxes may be added where required. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers; the new price applies at your next renewal after the notice period. We may also change what the free experience includes at any time.

5.2 Where you can buy

  • Directly from brick'em on the web, paid by card through Stripe or through PayPal.
  • Through the Apple App Store (in-app purchase) on iOS.
  • Through Google Play (in-app purchase) on Android.

Purchases made through Apple or Google are billed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded by Apple or Google under their terms, and your subscription is managed in your App Store or Google Play account settings. We cannot cancel or refund those purchases for you. Purchases made directly from brick'em are managed in your brick'em account settings or, for PayPal, in your PayPal account.

5.3 Free trials

Most new subscriptions start with a free trial (currently 14 days; the exact length is shown at checkout). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged the plan price automatically. When you subscribe through Apple or Google, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the charge. We try to send a reminder shortly before a trial ends, but a reminder is a courtesy, not a condition of billing: you are responsible for cancelling in time whether or not you receive it. Free trials are for new subscribers; we may deny or shorten a trial for anyone who has had one before or who we believe is abusing trials.

5.4 Automatic renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us (or Apple, Google, or PayPal) to charge your payment method on each renewal date. If a payment fails we may retry, and we may downgrade or suspend paid features after a grace period of about 7 days. After a paid plan lapses, inventory that exceeded free limits may be consolidated into a single collection; your items are not deleted.

5.5 Pausing and switching

Direct subscribers may pause billing for 1 to 3 months or switch to a different plan from Settings. When you pause, paid features are unavailable until billing resumes. When you switch plans, the change takes effect at your next renewal unless we say otherwise at the time.

5.6 One-time purchases and credits

We may sell one-time items such as scan credit packs or lifetime deals. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and expire if your account is deleted. Referral credits (Section 7) are applied to your brick'em balance and used against future invoices only.

06Cancellation, refunds, and our guarantee

6.1 Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. Direct subscribers cancel in Settings or the billing portal; App Store and Google Play subscribers cancel in their Apple or Google account. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not prorate or refund the unused part of a billing period except as described below or where the law requires.

6.2 Our 30-day money-back guarantee

We want brick'em to earn its keep. If you bought a plan directly from brick'em (Stripe or PayPal) and it did not work for you for any reason, including that it did not save you the time or make you the money you hoped, email [email protected] within 30 days of your first paid charge and we will refund that charge in full. This is what our marketing means when it says "satisfaction guarantee," "30-day guarantee," or "save time or money back."

  • The guarantee covers your first paid charge on your first paid plan. It does not cover renewals, later charges, upgrades, one-time purchases, or scan credits.
  • One guarantee refund per person, household, or business.
  • We may decline a refund where we reasonably believe the guarantee is being abused, for example repeated sign-ups or bulk exporting and cancelling.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method and can take 5 to 10 business days to appear.
  • Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are refunded only by Apple or Google under their policies. On iOS, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue those refunds ourselves, but email us and we will help you with the request.

6.3 Other refunds

Beyond the guarantee, refunds are at our discretion, except where consumer law in your country gives you a right to one. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is open and may recover reasonable dispute fees where permitted.

07Referral, creator, and promotional programs

  • Referral program: governed by our Referral program terms, which are part of these Terms. In short: your friend gets an extended trial, you get a credit when they make their first payment, and milestone rewards unlock as referrals add up. Self-referrals, fake accounts, spam, and paid ads on brick'em keywords are prohibited and forfeit rewards.
  • Creator program: approved creators may earn credits or payments for content they post about brick'em. Acceptance is at our discretion, you must follow FTC endorsement rules (disclose that you are compensated), and you are responsible for any taxes on what you earn. We may change or end the program at any time; earned but unpaid amounts will still be honored.
  • Seller pages: a public page we may create for you at brickem.io/u/. Content must be accurate and yours to publish. We may edit for format or decline or remove a page at our discretion.
  • Promotions and limited-time offers: discounts, win-back offers, and countdown deals are valid only for the time and audience shown, cannot be combined unless stated, and have no cash value. Physical rewards ship only to addresses in countries we can reasonably ship to and may be substituted with something of equal or greater value.

08Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal, or to list, price, or sell counterfeit, stolen, or recalled goods.
  • Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or use bots or scripts to extract our catalog, prices, or other data, or to automate scanning beyond ordinary personal or business use.
  • Resell, sublicense, white-label, or offer the Service or its data to third parties, or build a competing pricing dataset from it.
  • Circumvent scan limits, trial limits, rate limits, geographic restrictions, or access controls, including by creating multiple accounts.
  • Upload malicious code, probe or attack our systems, or access accounts or data that are not yours.
  • Upload photos of people without their consent, or any content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit.
  • Impersonate anyone, misrepresent your affiliation, or use brick'em's name or marks to suggest we endorse your listings.
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages to other sellers or marketplace users.
  • Use our marketplace connections in a way that violates eBay's, BrickLink's, or Shopify's rules, or that we reasonably believe puts our platform access at risk.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the Service except where the law expressly allows it despite this term.

We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, throttle or suspend accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement and marketplaces.

09Your content and license to us

9.1 You own your content

You keep ownership of the photos, inventory data, listing content, community posts, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights to upload it and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.

9.2 License to operate the Service

You grant brick'em a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, process, transmit to our service providers (including image recognition and AI providers), display, and create derivative works of Your Content as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service, to publish content you choose to share publicly, and to push listings to marketplaces you connect. For content you share publicly (share pages, seller pages, community), the license also lets us display it to the public and in our marketing with your name or handle unless you ask us not to. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content you shared publicly that others may have copied, content already sent to marketplaces, and as described in 9.3.

9.3 License to improve identification models

You grant brick'em a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to retain and use the images you scan or upload, and the identification results associated with them, to train, test, evaluate, and improve brick'em's own LEGO detection and identification models. We do not exercise this license today, and we will tell you in the app when we start. When we do, images are stripped of location metadata and stored separately from your account, are never sold or licensed to third parties, and are never used for advertising. You may opt out at any time as described in Section 3.4 of the Privacy Policy; opting out stops retention of new scans and deletes retained images tied to your account, but cannot remove what a model has already learned. This license does not cover your inventory prices, notes, or business data.

9.4 Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

10Identification, pricing, and AI results

The Service relies on automated image recognition, machine learning, and large language models, including third-party services (Brickognize, Roboflow, Google Cloud Vision, and OpenAI). You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Identification can be wrong. Results are probabilistic estimates. Similar figures, custom or third-party figures, damaged items, reflections, and poor lighting all cause errors. Verify before you rely on a result.
  • Prices are estimates, not offers. Our prices are derived from historical marketplace sales data and our own catalog. They lag the market, may be missing for some items, may not reflect condition, completeness, region, fees, or shipping, and are provided for information only.
  • Nothing here is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Collection values, portfolio charts, gains and losses, and "profit" estimates are illustrative.
  • Norman can make mistakes. Norman may misunderstand a question, give inaccurate answers, or propose an inventory change you did not intend. Review every proposed action before confirming it. You are responsible for changes you confirm. Norman is not a substitute for checking the marketplace or a professional.
  • Listings are yours. Titles, descriptions, prices, condition, and photos pushed to a marketplace are your listings. You must check them for accuracy and compliance with that marketplace's rules and applicable law before and after publishing.
  • brick'em is not responsible for losses that result from relying on identification results, prices, Norman, or exports, including underpricing, overpaying, mislisting, or marketplace penalties.

11Marketplace connections and exports

  • Authorization: when you connect eBay, BrickLink, or Shopify you authorize brick'em to access your store on your behalf within the permissions you grant, including creating and updating listings, adjusting quantities, creating required business policies and merchant locations, and reading your listings to mirror them. You confirm you are entitled to grant this access and that you will comply with each marketplace's terms, including BrickLink's API terms for credentials you supply.
  • Not affiliated: brick'em is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay, BrickLink, Shopify, Whatnot, Facebook, Mercari, or any other marketplace. Their terms, fees, and policies apply to your accounts there.
  • Sync is best effort: marketplaces change their APIs, limits, and rules. We do not guarantee that a listing will publish, that quantities will stay in sync, that exported files will be accepted, or that a connection will keep working. Review your store after pushing changes.
  • Your store, your responsibility: you are responsible for fulfilling orders, handling buyers, fees, taxes, returns, and any marketplace policy consequences. We never see or handle your buyers or payments.
  • Disconnecting: you may disconnect a store at any time. Listings already created stay in your store until you remove them there.
  • Exports: CSV, XML, and other export files are generated from your data and formatted for third-party templates as we understand them at the time. Check them before uploading anywhere.

12Chrome extension

  • The extension is licensed to you for personal or internal business use with a brick'em account.
  • It acts only when you trigger it, and captures the image or visible tab area you choose. Do not scan pages that show other people's personal information you are not permitted to process.
  • The extension works on third-party sites such as eBay, BrickLink, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, and Whatnot, but those sites may change or block it at any time. You are responsible for complying with their terms when you use it there, including when the "source parts" feature loads BrickLink pages with your BrickLink login.
  • Scans made through the extension count toward your plan's limits. Free extension scanning is limited per account and per network address.
  • Chrome's own terms and the Chrome Web Store policies also apply.

13MCP server and API

Our public MCP server and any public API are provided free, as is, without any uptime commitment, and may be rate-limited, changed, or shut down at any time. They return catalog data and identification results subject to Section 10. You may not use them to bulk-copy our catalog or to build a competing pricing service. Open-source components are licensed under the license in their repository; that license covers the code, not our data.

14Community and moderation

  • Be respectful. No harassment, hate, spam, scams, off-topic selling, or sharing others' private information.
  • Posts in the forum are visible to other signed-in sellers. Our Discord server is also governed by Discord's terms and community guidelines.
  • We use automated tools, including AI models, to screen forum posts and Discord messages for spam and abuse. Content flagged with high confidence may be hidden automatically before a human reviews it. If your content was removed and you think that was wrong, email [email protected] and a person will review it.
  • We may remove content or suspend community access at our discretion, and we are not obligated to monitor or retain community content.

15Third-party services and trademarks

The Service depends on third-party services (hosting, payments, identification, AI, marketplaces, sign-in providers). We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct, and outages or changes on their side may affect the Service.

LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure, and the Brick and Knob configurations are trademarks of the LEGO Group of Companies, which does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse brick'em. eBay, BrickLink, Shopify, Whatnot, Facebook, Mercari, Brickognize, Rebrickable, Brickset, Apple, Google, and Discord are trademarks of their respective owners. References to them describe compatibility or comparison and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

16Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, catalog compilation, pricing data, models, text, graphics, and trademarks (excluding Your Content and third-party marks), is owned by Michigan Bricks LLC, brick'em LLC, or their licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms. All other rights are reserved. You may not remove any proprietary notices.

18Electronic communications

By using the Service you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email, push notification, and in-app notice, and you agree these satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing. Transactional messages (receipts, trial and billing notices, security alerts, support replies) are part of the Service and cannot be turned off while you have an account. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and push notifications can be turned off in Settings or your device. You are responsible for keeping a working email address on your account; notices sent to it are deemed received.

19Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time in the mobile app (More > Settings > Delete account), on the web (Settings > Account security > Delete account), or by emailing [email protected] from your account email. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so export your inventory first. Details of what is deleted and what we retain are in Section 14 of the Privacy Policy and at brickem.io/delete-account.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through Settings, the App Store, Google Play, or PayPal before deleting, or you may continue to be charged. Unused subscription time, credits, and referral balances are forfeited on deletion.

20Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, abuse trials, refunds, or referrals, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your paid plan for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period. If we terminate for breach, no refund is owed. Upon termination your license ends, and we may delete your data after 30 days. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 9.3, 10, 15, 16, 21 through 23, 26, and 27) survive termination.

21Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE; THAT IDENTIFICATION RESULTS, PRICES, OR NORMAN'S ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE; THAT MARKETPLACE CONNECTIONS OR EXPORTS WILL WORK WITH ANY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM; OR THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL SAVE YOU TIME OR MAKE YOU MONEY. OUR GUARANTEE IN SECTION 6.2 IS THE ONLY REMEDY WE OFFER FOR DISSATISFACTION. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

22Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MICHIGAN BRICKS LLC, BRICK'EM LLC, AND THEIR OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST SALES, LOST DATA, MARKETPLACE FEES OR PENALTIES, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or, for consumers in the EU/EEA/UK, statutory rights that cannot be waived.

23Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Michigan Bricks LLC, brick'em LLC, and their owners, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of Your Content, your listings and marketplace activity, your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right, or your misuse of the Service. We may take over the defense of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you will cooperate with us.

24Apple App Store terms

If you use the mobile app on an Apple device, these additional terms required by Apple Inc. ("Apple") apply:

  • Acknowledgement: these Terms are between you and Michigan Bricks LLC (the seller of record on the App Store) only, not Apple. brick'em, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content.
  • Scope of license: a non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms of Service, except that it may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
  • Maintenance and support: brick'em is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any.
  • Warranty: brick'em is solely responsible for any product warranties. If the Licensed Application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are brick'em's responsibility.
  • Product claims: brick'em, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Licensed Application or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar law.
  • Intellectual property: if a third party claims the Licensed Application infringes its intellectual property rights, brick'em, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of the claim.
  • Legal compliance: you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Developer contact: Michigan Bricks LLC, 1423 E Michigan Ave, Saline, MI 48176, United States; [email protected]; (734) 786-0526.
  • Third-party terms: you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the Licensed Application, for example your wireless carrier's data terms.
  • Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

25Google Play terms

If you obtained the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. In-app purchases are made through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google's refund policies. Google is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content.

26Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It requires most disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration and waives your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.

26.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you also keep the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live.

26.2 Talk to us first

Before starting arbitration or a lawsuit, you agree to email [email protected] with your name, account email, a description of the dispute, and what you want. We will do the same for claims we have against you, using your account email. Both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 30 days after notice. Most problems get fixed here.

26.3 Binding individual arbitration

If we cannot resolve it, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service (including its formation, interpretation, or our privacy practices) will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. The arbitration will be held in Washtenaw County, Michigan, or by phone, video, or written submissions, at your choice for claims under $10,000. Each side pays the AAA fees the Consumer Rules assign to it; if the arbitrator finds a claim frivolous, fees may be reallocated as the rules allow. The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

26.4 Exceptions

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court where permitted, or seek an injunction in court to stop unauthorized use or infringement of intellectual property. Nothing here prevents you from reporting concerns to a government agency.

26.5 Class action and jury waiver

You and brick'em agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. To the extent a claim proceeds in court, you and brick'em each waive the right to a jury trial. If the class waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) must be brought in court under Section 26.7.

26.6 Opt-out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

26.7 Court proceedings

If arbitration does not apply to a claim, it must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washtenaw County, Michigan, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction, unless the consumer laws where you live require otherwise.

26.8 Time limit

To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be filed within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.

27General terms

  • Entire agreement: these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Referral program terms, and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout are the entire agreement between you and brick'em about the Service.
  • Severability: if a provision is unenforceable it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment: you may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
  • Force majeure: we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers, marketplace API changes, network failures, natural disasters, or government action.
  • Export control: you will comply with U.S. export and sanctions laws when using the Service.
  • Notices: we may notify you by email, in-app notice, or by posting on the Service. Legal notices to us go to [email protected] and to the mailing address below.
  • Language: these Terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience only.
  • California users: under Civil Code 1789.3 you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or (800) 952-5210.
